Possible grenade found in dumpster next to Belfair office
KOMO News - Bomb squad officials are checking a dumpster outside a Belfair office building after getting a report that someone found a grenade inside. The potential device was found outside the Habitat for Humanity building in the 22600 block of SR-3 just before 11 a.m. The Mason County Sheriff's office says they don't know for sure it's a grenade but are treating it that way to be safe. Greenwich Citizen - A former president of a parent-teacher association in a small Washington state community was sentenced Monday to 23 years in prison after earlier pleading guilty to four child pornography charges. Former Belfair PTA president gets 23 years in prison for child pornography
Seattle Times - The former president of a Mason County elementary school PTA has been sentenced to 23 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised released after pleading guilty to child-pornography charges in an investigation that turned up video of him raping an 8-year-old child in a school classroom. David Michael Navarro, 38, was arrested last year after police in Denmark and Australia joined the FBI in tracking down that video and others which had caught the attention of law enforcement officials in those countries.
