Girls Basketball: Rams take SPSL North title
Highline Times - AUBURN - Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Auburn Riverside High School turned into a history making event for the Mount Rainier girls basketball team. Overcoming late foul trouble and a terrific rally from their persistent opponents, the state second ranked Rams (19-0, 15-0 league) held off the No. 7 Ravens 78-73 to claim their first South Puget Sound League 4A North Division title in only their second year at Class 4A. North Highline crime and public safety report for January
Highline Times - White Center Storefront Deputy BJ Myers presented his monthly public safety recap to the North Highline Unincorporated Area Council on Feb. 3. Here are the details: Robberies Speaking on different robberies in the area, Myers said the suspects in a Jan. 11 liquor store robbery were identified and arrested thanks to surveillance camera footage. A deputy noticed one of the suspects walking in the area, Myers said, confronted him and was able to get a full confession. Local CEO donates GPS systems for Highline school buses
Highline Times - Press release: As Highline was shopping for global positioning systems (GPS) for school buses, ZONAR Systems Incorporated offered to supply GPS equipment for all 104 Highline buses, with no charge for the hardware. That contribution saves the school district nearly $20,000. ZONAR also dramatically cut the service fees, for an additional annual savings of $8,700 per year. ?
