Music starts with local bands around 6pm with the headliner starting at 9pm and spectacular fireworks starting at dark. You won't want to miss the great music and enjoy the best seats in the house for the fireworks.

29th Annual Children's Art Festival

This year's event promises to be filled with quality local children's entertainment, approximately 30 booths providing hands on arts and crafts, roving characters, face painting, free balloons and much, much more! Concessions are available at the event and you are welcome to bring your own lunch. This festival is supported by the City of Mount Vernon and many other generous businesses and organizations within Mount Vernon and the Skagit Valley. If your organization or family would be interested in volunteering at a booth or being a part of the festival as a sponsor, please contact Mount Vernon Parks and Recreation at (360)336-6215, we would love to hear from you!

For cyclists and all those seeking a personal challenge and a world free of multiple sclerosis, Bike MS is the premier cycling series in the nation. The Washington Bike MS Ride takes you on an unforgettable, two-day journey through Skagit, Whatcom and Island Counties. As many as 2,000 riders will cruise along scenic figure-eight courses ranging from 22 to 97 miles. Full meals, generous amenities, stunning landscapes, fully stocked rest stops and spirited festivities are all included. Riders raise money to support MS research, programs and services dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals affected by MS.
