jun 21Grace Potter & The NocturnalsThe ParamountGrace Potter & the NocturnalsÂ’ self-made 2005 debut album, Nothing but the Water revealed a musically sophisticated young band inspired by the music of the late Â’60s/early Â’70s and fronted by a then-21-year-old dynamo whose nuanced singing, organ playing and songwriting belied her age. The follow-up, 2007Â’s This Is Somewhere, confirmed that the band had no interest in following trends but was instead in pursuit of timeless expression as it forged its identity. On 2010Â’s self-titled third album, GPN, toughened by a half decade of nonstop roadwork, flexed their rock Â’nÂ’ roll muscles and confirmed that they were in it for the long haul.

Teams will have 24 hours to build their boats, and if they donÂ’t do a good job...who knows if it will hold together during the raceÂ…or sink. New in 2013 will be the Cordless Challenge Races, where competitors will power their boatsÂ…with cordless drills.
It all starts on the 4th of July! Lake Union Park will be open for families looking for somewhere to spread their blankets and watch the fireworks over Lake Union.
