City of Enumclaw seeks input on changes to the city's zoning code
Enumclaw Courier-Herald - Since November, the city Planning Commission has been hard at work updating the city's zoning code. The permitted and conditional uses haven't been reviewed in over a decade and are in need of an overhaul. Now the Community Development Department is seeking comments on those proposed updates. Construction of the $32 million facility would be on a 20-acre parcel immediately west of Rainier School, on land belonging to the state's Department of Social and Health Services. Read more...

Enumclaw Courier-Herald - MINOR THEFT: At 5:45 p.m. June 11 officers were dispatched to a Buckley store where a 12-year-old from Buckley and a 16-year-old from Bonney Lake had admitted to stealing candy bars and an energy drink. They were arrested for theft and released to their parents. The case was forwarded to the Pierce County juvenile prosecutor for review and charging. Read more...
