Brush fire in South Prairie | Update
Enumclaw Courier-Herald - Two homes were evacuated in South Prairie after a brush fire started in a ten acre field around 2:00 this afternoon. More than 15 different rigs were brought to this fire by East Pierce, Buckley, Orting and Riverside fire departments. One firefighter was overcome with heat exhaustion and was transported away. Hayes. Steven Asir Thomas was convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Substances, Money Laundering, Conspiracy to Possess Firearms in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime and being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm following a six day jury trial in April 2015. King County's fair funding will help for next two years
Enumclaw Courier-Herald - As the King County Fair was preparing to launch its four-day run two weeks ago, good news arrived in the simplest of forms - cash. The historic fair - which was operated for the first time by a local, nonprofit group - received a financial shot in the arm from King County. An agreement was announced that the county will contribute $50,000 to help fund the fair. The news was shared by King County Councilman Reagan Dunn and King County Executive Dow Constantine.
