Water assumption ordinance vote on Thursday | Part 2
Enumclaw Courier-Herald - As Black Diamond staff prepares Ordinance 15-1058 to officially assume water service rights to 98 acres of The Villages development, the Covington Water District is doubling down on its efforts to wrestle back control of the disputed land. If the council votes to approve the ordinance, the city will begin the official assumption, or take over, of water service rights to those 98 acres in The Villages, something Black Diamond has been attempting since at least 2008. Seattle gas prices fall from previous week | Seattle Weekly Fuel Update and Outlook
Enumclaw Courier-Herald - Average retail gasoline prices in Seattle have fallen 8.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.01/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 775 gas outlets in Seattle. Enumclaw Courier-Herald - The recreational and commercial Dungeness crab fisheries on the northern coast of Washington will reopen effective immediately, state shellfish managers announced today. Earlier this month, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) closed crabbing on the northern coast - from Point Chehalis north to the Queets River - when levels of marine toxins posed a threat to public health.
