Mom, baby safe after 4-hour standoff at Everett apartment
KOMO News - A mother and her 2-month old baby are safe this morning after they were locked inside an apartment where the baby's father assaulted the mother then barricaded himself for hours, Everett police said. Drought prompts water-use advisories in Everett, Seattle and Tacoma

Domestic violence call leads to police standoff in Everett
KOMO News - A Monday night domestic violence call in Everett turned into a tense standoff between police and a man who barricaded himself inside an apartment with a young child. Seattle, Everett, Tacoma urge water conservation in drought
Seattle Times - The cities of Seattle, Tacoma and Everett are urging careful use of water in response to historically low river levels, record-setting heat and increased water demand in the Puget Sound Region, according to a Tacoma Public Utilities news release. The release classified the water supply in Everett and Seattle as "fair," and both cities and Tacoma say they have adequate water for their customers until autumn, when more rainfall is typical.
