White River Valley Museum
Nihon/WA invites viewers to experience a wide spectrum of work created by artists of Japanese heritage in the Puget Sound region and see how each has chosen to include or step beyond heritage and history in their own content and style. From the minimalist color fields of Frank OkadaÂ’s canvases and the bronze elegance of Gerard TsutakawaÂ’s sculptures, to the refined cut paper work of Aki Sogabe and the pioneering ceramics of Patti Warashina, this exhibit has a lot to express.

The naturally shaded park will keep you cool during the afternoon. Purchase a wristband for $5 for unlimited activities! Wristband sales begin at 10:00am.

In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, sheÂ’ll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that sheÂ’s the girl with the enchanting voice. Adapted from DisneyÂ’s 2008 Broadway production, DisneyÂ’s Little Mermaid Jr. is performed by participants from the Theater Camp program, the story and musical score will have you shouting BRAVO!

48th Annual Veterans Day Parade & Observance
Downtown Auburn
One of the largest Veterans Day Parades west of the Mississippi, the mile-long Veterans Day Parade proceeds west on Main Street from E Street SE to A Street NW in Auburn and will include a military fly-over, marching bands, honor guards, military marching units and vehicles, veterans units, drill teams, community and scouting groups, as well as floats, antique cars and more. The day kicks off with a breakfast, sponsored by the American Legion, which is followed by a Remembrance Ceremony. A Static Display & Exhibit Showcase is held along the parade route from 9:00am – 2:00pm. The Auburn Noon Lions Luncheon and an open house at the VFW follow the parade. The day is complete after the state's largest Marching Band and Field Competition awards its winners at Auburn High School Stadium.
