MyGreenlake - Some news from Cafe Bonjour (7119 Woodlawn Ave NE): We have got our beer and wine license and will starting opening 9am-9pm daily starting Feb. 11. 2012. We added pasta to the menu starting at $7.95 , with our house made basil tomato sauce, creamy Alfredo or Creamy Pesto and Chicken. Crepes and panini are served all day. Imported and Washington wines are available by glass. On Valentine's Day, we offer complementary suprivised kids play, so the parents can have a nice dinner at our cafe. SPD North Precinct residential burglary update
MyGreenlake - Seattle Police Department Crime Prevention Coordinator Terrie Johnston shared several updates and tips with North Seattle block captains yesterday (Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012). Terrie reported burglary rates have decreased or stabilized in much of the city's North Precinct, although there are still increased numbers of residential burglaries in some northeast neighborhoods. 'Raft' of coots spotted at Green Lake
MyGreenlake - Many thanks to Steve Boyd of MacDonald Boyd and Associates (6424 E Green Lake Way N) for sharing these photos, which he shot with his iPhone yesterday (Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012) around noon: Steve writes: Here are two pictures of a gaggle (actually called 'rafts') of coots on the lake….actually, I'm not sure what exactly their doing. MyGreenlake - Staff at the Green Lake Community Center (7201 E Green Lake Dr N) may soon be renovating the facility's Toddler Play Center. Maria Yamaguchi is currently working on different room models and is soliciting feedback from families and caregivers. Do you have suggestions or ideas that she can use? Please email her at Maria.Yamaguchi [at] seattle.gov. The Green Lake Community Center Toddler Play Center is available to children aged 6 months – 5 years and their caregivers. Table Tennis Showcase and Exhibition at Green Lake Community Center
MyGreenlake -   The Seattle Pacific Table Tennis Club and the Green Lake Table Tennis Center (GLTTC) will present a Table Tennis Showcase and Exhibition at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 in the Green Lake Community Center gymnasium (7201 E Green Lake Drive N). Over 200 spectators are expected to attend. The event will feature 60 local students and six professional athletes from China. Spectators will get to see how the students train, from the youngest to the most advanced. The highlight of the evening will be an exhibition by the six Chinese professionals. Benefit dinner for the U District Food Bank at the Greenlake Bar & Grill
MyGreenlake - A benefit dinner for the University District Food Bank will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, 5-10 p.m., at the Greenlake Bar & Grill (7200 E Green Lake Drive N) and the Eastlake Bar & Grill (2947 Eastlake Ave E). At least 50% of each dinner bill will be donated to the Food Bank, and 66% of the cost of orders from a special menu will be donated.
