More local lakes planted with trout this past week to boost fishing action

Arboretum trail will give Central Seattle its very own Green Lake
Capitol Hill Blog - Following this winter's rains, crews will begin work on a paved trail weaving in an out of the wetlands and gardens of the Arboretum allowing pedestrians a closer connection to the natural preserve and giving bike riders an alternative to busy Lake Washington Blvd. "Seattleites love Green Lake this is going to be a great alternative walk in a spectacular Seattle park," said Paige Miller who works for the Arboretum Foundation and sits on the joint committee that is supervising the project. City preserves - Night Owl' bus service
Queen Anne & Magnolia News - The King County Council has unanimously approved an agreement between King County Metro Transit and the City of Seattle that assures continued operation of "Night Owl" bus Routes 82, 83 and 84. Under the agreement, the City of Seattle will pay for the continued operation of the routes between 2 and 4 a.m. The routes provide basic transit service to many Seattle neighborhoods, including Greenwood, Green Lake, Wallingford, Fremont, Queen Anne, South Lake Union, Belltown and Downtown. Metro Transit has a funding shortfall, and earlier this year, a ballot measure that would have provided needed funding for transit failed at the polls. Read more...
