City Declares War on Hookah Lounges...Again
Seattle Weekly - Surrounded by East African and International District community members, Mayor Ed Murray this morning announced a plan to shut down hookah bars throughout the city, saying they'd become a magnet for violence in the city. Seattle Chinatown leader killed in shooting

Donnie Chin shot - Community stunned
Northwest Asian Weekly - Donnie Chin, executive director of the International District Emergency Center , passed away this morning, July 23, after being shot before 3 a.m. at 8th Ave. S. between S. Lane St. and Weller St. in Chinatown International District. Chin's service in the I.D. was usually a one-man show, patrolling in the ID. Read more...
