Speeders top 110 mph near Tumwater
The Olympian - Five days after a Lacey man was pulled over on northbound Interstate 5 for driving 110 mph, two drivers topped that speed late Thursday, according to the Washington State Patrol. About 9:15 p.m. Thursday, an 18-year-old Olympia man and a 20-year-old Oregon man apparently were racing on southbound I-5 near Tumwater when a trooper clocked them at speeds of more than 110 mph. Parents demand changes after teen hit in school crosswalk

The Olympian - The Olympian reported that a truck owned by Costco Wholesale crashed into a guardrail on Jan. 22 at the Nisqually River bridge on Interstate 5 at about 12:20 p.m. Two lanes of I-5 were closed. Northbound traffic was affected until just before 4 p.m. At that point, the backup from the bridge extended 10 miles through Olympia, and surface streets in Lacey were clogged as drivers sought other routes.
