Candidate Mike Wilson under investigation over students campaigning
Mukilteo Tribune - Mike Wilson, the Democrats' candidate for state Representative in the 44th District, is now under investigation after high school athletes in the cross-country teams for Cascade, Jackson and Snohomish's Glacier Peak high schools were enlisted to do campaign canvassing for him on Oct. 15. The 44th District includes Snohomish, Mill Creek and Lake Stevens. The Everett School District, Wilson's employer, is conducting two investigations on Wilson: One related to the athletes campaigning for him, and a second probing Wilson's use of his school e-mail address and school resources for campaign-related emails in early spring. Suspect in Snohomish County shooting spree angry police didn't kill him
Seattle Times - The man accused of going on a shooting rampage last week by driving around and firing on police in Granite Falls, Lake Stevens and Marysville told detectives he'd wanted to be killed and was disappointed in the officers' marksmanship, according to a court document filed in Snohomish County Superior Court. The 43-year-old Lake Stevens man told investigators he was about to lose his cabinetry business, facing eviction from his home and was to have his leg amputated due to vascular problems when he received a text message from his wife concerning fears that their son would harm himself, according to the court document.
