Police warning: No gift card without ID and signature
North Kitsap Herald - Police arrested two suspects for using fraudulent gift cards at local businesses, and are asking shops to come forward if they believe the two men visited their store. "On (Dec. 9), we had at least two bad guys in town that were trying to use fake/fraudulent gift cards to make store purchases or buy additional gift cards," Poulsbo Police Chief Al Townsend wrote in an email. Suspect pleads guilty to threatening school, released from jail
North Kitsap Herald - The 18-year-old who threatened to shoot a gun in Kingston High School pleaded guilty and was released from custody Dec. 12. Matthew Allen Smiley was sentenced to three months in the Kitsap County Corrections Center, the standard sentence.
