King County Council approves vital links to Lake to Sound Trail
The Waterland Blog - Legislation linking an important segment of the 'Lake to Sound Trail' that will connect the cities of Burien, Renton, Tukwila, SeaTac and Des Moines received unanimous approval by the Metropolitan King County Council on Tuesday, Oct. 21. The legislation, sponsored by Councilmember Dave Upthegrove, was approved by the Council at its Oct. 20 meeting. It authorizes an agreement between King County and the City of SeaTac and the City of Burien to design and build a trail along Des Moines Memorial Drive that will connect both cities. Read more...

Dogs fall to Pirates
Highline Times - Domination of the singles matches propelled the Highline High School boys tennis team to a 5-2 Seamount League win against Foster on Thurs., Oct. 16. The Pirates improved to 5-5 league and 5-6 overall while the Bulldogs dropped to 2-7 league as well as the same overall. The league tournament begins on Oct. 23 after school classes end for the day and will follow the same schedule on Friday at the Valley Ridge Park courts in SeaTac. Read more...

JFK scores 6-0 win over Pirates
Highline Times - Kennedy Catholic and Highline went at it on the pitch, with a lot of good soccer played back and forth, despite the final score showing the Lancers beating the Pirates, 6-0, at Valley Ridge in SeaTac.
