Caring for someone with memory loss? Need support and information? Alzheimer's Association caregiver support groups provide a place for caregivers to learn and gain support from others caring for a person with memory loss. Support groups also serve as an opportunity for participants to receive information on care management, available services, and current research and treatment options. A free support group for unpaid care partners, family members and friends of individuals with memory loss is held the 4th Tuesday of each month from 2:00-3:30pm at Group Health Rainier Medical Center, Conference Room, 5316 Rainier Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98118. El Centro have been in the Beacon Hill neighborhood for nearly 40 years providing excellent social services to thousands of families all around the Beacon Hill neighborhood. Not only does El Centro provide excellent service to the community, they also have 33 different social programs created to assist those who are in need at all stages of their lives. The Spanish classes that we host here at El Centro supports our mission to serve the community in the best way possible and particularly those who are from the Chicano/Latino community. What sets us apart from other Spanish classes in Seattle is our ability to teach cultural awareness in all forms via, dance, poetry and food, as well as learning the fundamental concepts for conversational Spanish. Through our Spanish program you will be able to make a positive and effective impact within the Beacon Hill and greater Seattle area community , all the while you learn one of the fastest growing languages in America!!! The Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum is happy to announce the annual Hydro Fever Open House. Admisssion is free!
Come and tour the gallery featuring such vintage unlimited hydroplanes as Slo-Mo-Shun V, Miss Bardahl, Miss Wahoo, Atlas Van lines, Oh Boy! Oberto, Hurricane IV and Miss Budweiser.
Hydro Fever includes a live auction of hydroplane memorabilia at 12 noon, with proceeds benefiting the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum.
Casper model hydro races for the kids takes place all day. And a hot lunch will be available.
Memorabilia dealers: there are fifteen tables available for a $35 donation to the museum . All dealers must pre-register by May 22nd by contacting Bob Senior at (206) 364-7432.
