Driver killed in crash off steep Tacoma embankment
KOMO News - A driver was killed Friday evening when their car went over a steep Tacoma embankment and landed roughly 150 feet below. The vehicle was on Norpoint Way NE just after 6 p.m. when the driver went through a small park and drove off the embankment, landing in a woody area near Marine View Drive, according to Joe Meinecke with the Tacoma Fire Department. Airport Business - Aug. 28--Walking up to a security line at Seattle-Tacoma International airport on a recent morning, Dave Dillard said aloud, "What? This is the end of the line?" Passengers zigzagged through the retractable-belt queues set up outside the central security checkpoint, down the walkway, around the escalator and began to merge with the passengers lined up at the north security checkpoint about 200 yards away.
