Skier dies at Mission Ridge
Wenatchee World - A 17-year-old male skier died Friday afternoon at Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort when he lost control on the Tumwater run and struck a tree, Ridge executives have confirmed. Commercial fishermen unhappy with Columbia River reforms

The Columbian - A 400-inmate jail built in Tumwater at a cost of $48 million to relieve the overcrowded Thurston County Jail has sat empty since it was finished four years ago.
