Student captures footage of planes struck by lightning over Seattle
UPI - A Washington state student filming a Seattle thunderstorm captured footage of lightning striking two planes as they approached the airport. Owen Craft, a University of Washington student, said he was trying to catch lightning strikes on camera Wednesday night in the University District when he ended up capturing footage of two plans being struck by lightning during their approaches to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Watch: Lightning strikes two jets on approach to Sea-Tac Airport
KATU-TV Portland - Some of the people on their way into Seattle Wednesday evening got quite the hello from Mother Nature as lightning struck two different jets as they approached Sea-Tac Airport. Owen Craft was out in the University District trying to film lightning strikes as a thunderstorm moved through and caught the two massive bolts as they passed through the planes' fuselage.
