Mother of man shot & killed by police: 'This has broken me.'
KOMO News - Family members and friends of a man who was shot and killed by a Seattle police officer on July 17th say he's been unfairly portrayed as a violent person. Sam Smith, a 27-year-old native of Port Townsend, was shot after police say he hit the back of a patrol car on Interstate 5, sped away from the scene, then later confronted another officer with a 10-inch knife up over his head in the 6500 block of Ravenna Avenue.
