jun 30ACRS' 22nd Annual Walk for RiceSeward ParkHunger is something we all experience. But the hunger ACRS fights is different.
Government agencies call it "food insecurity." We describe it as a chronic, gnawing feeling mixed with the empty uncertainty of not knowing where you or your family will find the next meal.
That's the hunger we work to end. And it's why we invite you to join us on June 30, 2012, for ACRS' 22nd Annual Walk for Rice! Seward Park and its 2.4-mile Lake Washington shoreline will once again play host to our big fund-raiser.
Every year, thanks to the dedication (and athletic shoes) of more than a thousand walkers, Asian Counseling and Referral Service feeds thousands of hungry King County residents. We run the second busiest food bank in the greater Seattle area while operating out of one of the smallest facilities.
Last year, supporters united to raise more than $170,000. With new incentive prizes and social events this year, weâre aiming even higher.
So please help out and visit www.walkforice.org now to register yourself or join/create a team for the 22nd Annual Walk for Rice!
Because Every Grain Counts.
